With Releases on many of the scene’s most prolific Record Labels, Nocturnal have carved their way into the Dj’s Boxes and CD Wallets of many of the Elder Warriors and Future Forces of Drum n Bass. Nocturnal first gained recognition in 2005 when the Legendary Renegade Hardware signed "Crater". This collaboration with Prolix firmly stamped the duos arrival into the scene, and was picked up for Renegade Hardware’s 10 year anniversary album "Guerrilla Warfare". This was also the conception of the Prolix & Nocturnal partnership which has since spawned more tunes, the next inline in 2008 being "Bad Blood" on the legendary DJ Hypes GanjaTek imprint. In 2006 the stone cold “Cross The Line” arrived on Freak Recordings, making its way on to the front of Knowledge magazine, with a mix by Freak Recordings very own uncle fester Dylan. Then in 2007 came “Paralyzed” on PRSPCT Recordings and “Third Rail” on Hardware. The “Pokerface/Been So Long 12” on Revolution was next, and this 12” showed Nocturnal’s versatility musically and helped them find the way into a wider range of Dj’s sets. Shortly after that “Welcome To Shanktown” and the VIP Mix was made with long time friends Vicious Circle, and subsequently featured as the title track on their debut E.P for Hardware. This once again showed that not only are Nocturnal a powerful solo force, but a sought after team for collaborations. 2008 starts off with a spate of no-nonsense rollers, a 12” for the Rotterdam based Syndrome Recordings entitled “Musk Up/Nightvision” that will be available in March on Promo. These tunes have been doing the rounds of DJ sets by the likes of Teebee, Prolix, EBK, Vicious Circle, Universal Project and Calyx to name a few. In line for March was "Creeper" on Berlin based Shadybrain. Also Watch out for the eagerly anticipated Icicle Remix of “Pokerface” on Revolution coming soon, and Nocturnal on Remix duty for C4C's classic "Moongerm" on the C4C imprint label. The duo also perform DJ sets regularly at the legendary Renegade Hardware nights at the End in London, and also the Freak Family’s Therapy Sessions at Herbal. Playing at venues worldwide, Nocturnal have over the last few years gained a reputation for rocking crowds and sweating out DJ Booths beyond repair. DJ Sets include cutting edge music from the forefront of drum n bass, with a peppering of some classics that display the influences of Nocturnal’s style. These elements have helped them become a sought after DJ performance.
